Escape games have become a viral hit amongst many in Singapore since it was first introduced in 2012. Typically thematic around a story and working in teams of 6-7 people, the idea is to pool together everyone’s skills, be it mathematical, logical, lateral thinking, literary, or physical, in solving a series of puzzles that will allow the team to eventually escape! The catch is it must be solved within an hour or, depending on the story, the team remains trapped or dies.
There are a slew of escape rooms in Singapore but no one does an escape game like the Real Escape Game – pioneers of the concept here! You will not only see your team race against time but you’ll be in a room full of other teams trying to escape as well – the thrill, adrenaline, and camaraderie reaches sky high especially if you’re one with a competitive spirit. Which team will escape first?
That said, only 7% on average have managed to escape in the past six volumes they’ve organised. So, escaping would really be more of the challenge. Are you up for it?
The upcoming one organised in conjunction with 2014’s Singapore Night Festival will be held at the newly refurbished National Design Centre. This time, the mission will be to escape from a haunted ship of which it’s destination is the afterlife – escape in an hour to live!
