What is Peatix? Why is Peatix? How were you all brave enough to start your own ticketing company? Are you single? These are all questions every person on the Peatix team gets asked pretty much all the time.<\/p>\n

Thus today we are going to endeavor to explain exactly what Peatix is and what it is not; it\u2019s origins and it\u2019s vision; and if you\u2019ll be able to ask us out on a date. We begin!:<\/p>\n

Peatix is\u2026A website AND an app<\/strong> where people sell tickets with dignity<\/h4>\n

This first point is less obvious than your rolling eyes might suggest. While some companies are an app, and others still just a website, Peatix doesn\u2019t skimp on either, providing users with a Good Design Award winning<\/a> website when their thumbs are tired, and an app when the rest of the fingers need a rest.<\/p>\n

Peatix is also a place to ticket any and all events with dignity. Up until we created Peatix, online ticketing was a sordid process at best, something like shopping at Walmart the day after Thanksgiving with water in your shoes and a zebra that just won\u2019t stop piggybacking you. Speaking of which\u2026<\/p>\n

Peatix is not\u2026a giraffe with a physically excitable zebra friend<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Not even close really. Giraffe with excitable zebra friend would be like our 12th cousin.<\/p>\n

Peatix is\u2026A way to enrich events and communities<\/strong><\/h4>\n

When we say \u201cMore than a ticket,\u201d we\u2019re not screwing around. Event-goers follow their favorite event-goees, so they\u2019re notified when new events are published. Social integration goes without saying (though I have to say it\u2019s the best robustest social integration anywhere), and event-goers create a collective photographic timeline of the event with the Peatix app.<\/p>\n

Peatix\u2019s customer service is also just ridiculous: it\u2019s like we\u2019ve gathered a whole team of impossibly technologically savvy hospitable mothers.<\/p>\n

Peatix is not\u2026other ticketing sites<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Other ticketing sites are either aesthetically unreal<\/a> or charge ticket fees that would make the British empire around the time of the 1760s blush<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Peatix is\u2026the next logical step in the evolution of our species<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"Evolution<\/p>\n

Homo habilis. Homo erectus. Homo sapiens. PEA. Although debated mostly for political reasons, most scientists agree this is going to happen and eventually you\u2019ll see offspring with less and less limbs, more and more green, and larger brains which they\u2019ll use for the betterment of their fellow humanoid peas and generally lowering fees on everything from bank accounts to airline flights.<\/p>\n

Peatix is not\u2026a PR or marketing firm<\/strong><\/h4>\n

This is something we get pretty often\u2014event organizers listing their events on Peatix, crossing their fingers and hoping it will sell out. These are the same people who, as teenagers, thought that wearing cologne would ensure a glorious romantic life.<\/p>\n

That it were so simple. Peatix provides the tools that can be utilized to market an event. And those tools are superb. But the fundamental rules of selling out an event\u2014that it needs to be inherently awesome or you need to have a lot of friends\u2014hold true.<\/p>\n

Peatix is\u2026the bright future of event check-ins<\/strong><\/h4>\n

This is still super secret, but in a few months you will never have to scan or rip another ticket again. Seriously. It will be the greatest thing to happen to tickets since the stub, and then some. So check back often if you have any interest in having your mind blown!<\/p>\n
