The week of April 14th has something to titillate everyone\u2019s ears: old music, new music, sexy music, beloved classics and unloved premiers. Let us proceed to get cultured:<\/p>\n<h4>1. MONDAY: The Ghostlight Chorus and the Madrigalchor of Munich<\/h4>\n<p>If you\u2019re feeling down because you weren\u2019t invited to a single passover seder this year despite having lots of Jewish friends and generally respectable dinner party poise (&#8230;not bitter), then let the pride of New York\u2019s choral scene, Ghostlight, together with eminent guests the Madrigalchor of Munich lift your spirits. Wednesday\u2019s peformance, \u201cBetween Noise and Silence\u201d features six of today\u2019s major rising noise and\/or silence talents, with a freshly commissioned work by Japanese composer Hikari Kiyama. THURSDAY: Bach, Revisited<\/h4>\n<p>So here\u2019s an interesting one. If you\u2019re familiar with how music performance works, you\u2019ll know that a composition is usually played from beginning to end in a concert. For this one though, esteemed composer and concert curator Joan Tower is splicing in her own works between movements of Bach\u2019s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. Afterwards you\u2019ll be able to be like \u201cthis weekend? Oh I just went to The Cloisters\u2014do you know The Cloisters?\u2014to hear this Renaissance motet concert. It was a<em>maz<\/em>ing. Like really fabulous.\u201d Who wouldn\u2019t want to be able to say that?
