Halloween approacheth! And though there’s not really anything to be scared about if you’re over the age of nine, one might feel some degree of trepidation at the thought of one’s passively smug environmental friends passing smug judgement on the greenness of one’s Halloween festivities.<\/p>\n

Be it a corporate or personal event, consider these green ideas to make your social anxiety a little less frightening:<\/p>\n

1. Paper-Saving RSVPs<\/strong>

Themes can be a lot of fun, be creative! A slew of websites offer suggestions for Halloween party themes so instead of delving into an exhaustive list we\u2019d like to suggest a slight twist. You guessed it, to go green! Get guests to use costume materials that can be recycled<\/strong><\/em> after the party like toilet paper, cardboard<\/a>, old stockings and so on. You could also encourage renting costumes<\/strong><\/em><\/a> or costume swaps<\/strong><\/em> among guests! That way, they get re-used instead of being worn once and left to the forgotten depths of a wardrobe.<\/p>\n
