Often it’s for the free food. Sometimes it’s to do yoga on a paddle board<\/a>. Other times you just really need an escape from a werewolf village<\/a>. But what is more fun than escaping from a werewolf village on a paddle board while eating only free food you stole<\/em> from werewolves? I’ll tell you what: networking. <\/p>\n Network better with the Peatix app<\/strong> 5 steps to networking effectively<\/strong> Fill out your profile (click ‘edit’ at the top right on the profile tab) with a lovely portrait and add a brief, yet punchy description of yourself. This way, others can get a snapshot of who you are<\/strong> before the event and it makes it easier for them to identify and approach you during the event.<\/p>\n Next thing you know, you’ve got a line of people waiting to meet with you.<\/p>\n 2.<\/strong> Meet the crowd<\/p>\n View the attendee list to find out who else is going<\/strong> to an event. You just might spot a few familiar names, but more importantly you may fancy an attendee you’d like to connect with at the event.<\/p>\n 3.<\/strong> Connect with other guests easily before and during the event You’d like to meet the organizer or another attendee in-person after scrolling through the attendee list. You could increase your chances of meeting by sending a private message<\/strong> to their in-app inbox before or during the event to arrange a time or area to meet at at the venue.<\/p>\n 4.<\/strong> Re-connect easily after the event<\/p>\n After a fantastic evening of meeting new acquaintances and potential collaborators, you can send the guest you met an in-app message<\/strong> to reconnect.<\/p>\n 5.<\/strong> Keep tabs on your network<\/p>\n If you find that a particular attendee you’ve met at an event has similar interests in the types of events you both attend, you could “follow” them on Peatix<\/strong>. Doing so means an automatic update on the “Discover” tab to reflect events that they are attending or hosting! It’s a superb win – you create more face-to-face opportunities to maintain the relationship with your network, you’ll know at least one person at the event, and to top it all off, you get recommendations to events in which you’re most likely interested.<\/p>\n
