Decisions, decisions and so much to choose from. Well, to help you plan your May activities, we’ll give you a little hand. Here’s our top 5 event picks for this month. Enjoy!
1. The Pajama Game
Based on the novel 7½ Cents by Richard Bissel, the Pajama Game is a classic musical of the American Broadway theatre. Against the backdrop of workers striking over a 7½ cent pay raise in a pyjama factory, the plot sees parallel love stories between Babe and Sid (the grievance committee head and the new factory supervisor), as well as between Hines, the jealous factory time-keeper and his irrepressible girlfriend, the flirtatious Gladys Hotchkiss. Performed by the students of LASALLE’s musical theatre programme, expect to laugh to your heart’s content and be amazed by the spell-binding music.
The Pajama Game is taking place on Wednesday, 6 May to Saturday, 9 May at the Singapore Airlines Theatre, LASALLE College of the Arts.

Inspired by the wacky beach culture of America, Full Steam Ahead is an Indie-Disco rave at Tanjong Beach Club. Besides uber cool DJs – like Aeroplane and LouLou Players from Belgium, Joaqim from France, and Singaporean sound-meister weelikeme – rocking the dance floor, there’ll be other one-of-a-kind fringe activities such as tie-dye stations, beer pong, sunset yoga sessions, and even snake charmers to add to the atmosphere.

Nora and Mark are two characters who continuously clash due to their very different personalities.
