13 is an unlucky number, they say.
We’ve got 13 events in our Halloween line-up this year.
Lo and behold, spooky much? Never fear! They’re mostly fun, with something for everyone.
Theatre & Film
In the darkness of a black box theatre studio, who knows what or who might appear? Find horror and humour in A Certain Sort of Hunger, a night of performances and poetry that explores the tales of the feminine spirits in Asia who hungers to return.
First of its kind in Singapore, interactive horror play UN-able tells the tale of a boy seeking love after loss. As an audience member, you’ll be completely immersed and engaged within the play, will you be able to survive it, or will you be UN-able to?
If catching a film’s more your cup of tea, kick back and (try to) relax to SCUM Cinema’s screening of Santo and Blue Demon vs Dracula and the Wolf Man. It’s as quirky as it sounds, charting the untold tale of Dracula, the Wolfman and their revenge in modern day Mexico.
Music
Rave to electronic beats with a Halloween twist at the EMP: Raveyard, powered by Electronic Music Production, a collective of DJs and producers from Republic Polytechnic.
Parties
Dress to kill in your best beach wear and dance the night away at Atlantis 5’s Halloween Foam Party, the coolest beach party of this spooky season.
Or, if you prefer a party with more grit, then don your most shocking Halloween costume and head for a ride atop Hell On Wheels. It’ll be a highway to… four exclusive clubs! Join in the zombie shuffle.
Alternatively, join the costumed throng on the Official Singapore Halloween Pub Crawl to eat, drink and be scary atop an open top party bus!
Get your freak on with a bloody feast of free flow food at the Halloween edition of Werq It!, a casual meetup with the LGBTQ community. Hear scary recounts of ‘coming out’ and work it on the runway with a Halloween fashion showdown.
More feasting ensues at the HalloweenTown Dinner Party! With barbecue ribs, roasted chicken, sausage sliders, a cold cuts and cheese platter and a ton more to the spread, you’ll be stuffing your face full before you can say trick or treat.
Sports & Outdoor
Pumpkin dumb-bells, noose gym rings, and a spine-chilling yoga sequence, it’s out with the feasting and in with the Bootcamp on Elm Street! Better yet, come decked in your favourite Halloween costume and attempt a ‘downward-facing dog’.
For Those Who Dare
Not for the faint hearted, the I Know Who Killed You series is a large scale real life escape game designed for family and friends to pit their brawn and brains together to escape an unfortunate situation. Set in the fictional Grand Hotel, participants must investigate five murders and interrogate five suspects to solve one mystery. With puzzles to crack and no time to waste, unleash your inner Sherlock in this Halloween-themed event!
Manoeuvre your way through the Museum of Horrors at *SCAPE’s Ground Theatre through five realistic dioramic sets that transports you to the Middle East. A cursed relic’s been unearthed, do you dare step into its chambers?
Discover the darkness within at Expired Expectations. Entrancing accordion performances, twisted drinking games, dancing into the dark and enigmatic fortune tellers, there is something for every depraved soul at this one-of-a-kind one-night event at the off-beat vintage Sultan Hotel.
Have a Halloween party in mind yourself? You too can host an event on Peatix, try creating an event page for free.
