If you haven’t heard, Taiwan’s most-loved night market is making its way to town this April.
Spanning across 2 weekends from April 19-21, 26-28, the Shilin Night Market (士林夜市) will come alive at the grounds of Singapore Turf Club, bringing to you more than 300 stalls in a bustling mash of Taiwanese and local F&B, craft goods, games and entertainment.
Zoned into the 4 areas of “吃逛,玩,乐” (Eat, shop, play, fun) sprawling across some massive 200,000 square feet, you can expect to be entertained through and through with something that is bound to delight in each zone. Foodies can look forward to sinking their teeth into their favourite street grub – whether its the XXXXL chicken chop, oyster mee sua or BUBBLE TEA while shoppers on the hunt can strut down lines & lines of stalls peddling artisanal wares. Want a jolt of adrenaline? Travel back to the 90s with a pop up game arcade and pit those reflexes against friends or if you really just prefer to just have it chill, don’t miss the line up of music acts fronted by Singapore’s very own music makers and just soak in the vibe while people watching. If that is not enough, we suggest you block your dates for both weekends because we hear that there will be DIFFERENT offerings across each week and you don’t really want to miss out on either do you?
So this long-weekend we say, perhaps you can skip the travelling because the destination is making its way to you.
Shilin Singapore will be held at The Grounds@Kranji, Carpark B at Singapore Turf Club on Apr 19-21 & 26-28 from 3pm – 11pm and the event is easily accessible from Kranji MRT station. Admission is free.
