Singapore is going into fashion frenzy with two fashion weeks happening in close succession – FIDé Fashion Weeks and Digital Fashion Week.
FIDé Fashion Weeks elevated Singapore’s global status as a fashion city, it being the third country out of Paris and Milan to have a dedicated men’s fashion week! FIDé Fashion Weeks witness a dedicated Haute Couture week with designers from Japan, Asia and France.
Also happening at the FIDé Fashion Weeks is a notable workshop titled “The Importance of Creativity in Fashion” hosted by Jean-Paul Cauvin. For those uninitiated with Jean-Paul, he’s worked for prestigious Haute-Coutre houses, covered many fashion weeks around the world, and is the Fashion Editor of Fashion Daily News! He’ll be bringing you on a journey through Parisian fashion eras and explores how creativity in marketing began to take centre-stage in fashion. Definitely not one to miss, plus it’s a free workshop. The second fashion week happening real soon from 1-4 November is the innovative #DigitalFashionWeek held at the National Design Centre, a rustic building touted to be the next go-to destination for design-related activities.
#DigitalFashionWeek is the world’s first shoppable live streaming fashion week with Naomi Campbell as the headline model. Singapore’s fashion scene just got amped up a notch!
In celebration of local design, 10 dedicated fashion shows will see models strut the runway in outfits by 10 local designers. An integrated online experience will see live tweets of pictures of models before they walk down the runway, and a split second later, a live stream of them strutting the catwalk on YouTube! Also, if you spot something you like donned by a model, you may purchase it straight off ASOS. The latest fashion to you in real time.
