Since its inception during the band’s high school days, We The Kings have garnered an impressive list of industry accolades with several hit singles and hitting up the rankings on the top 10 rock albums produced in 2007, 2009, and 2011.
For their fourth album, Somewhere Somehow, the band made the difficult decision of going completely independent in its production. Taking to crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo (just about as indie as it gets), We The Kings reached out to their fans in support of their music and fourth album. In just one day, they achieved their crowdfunding budget goal! Definitely a sound testament to their dedicated fan base.
This comes as no surprise considering the extent to which the band reaches out to their fans both in exposing real and raw emotions through their songs and in documenting their experiences and inspiration on YouTube for the world to see.
“The goal of our band since day one, even from the first album, is to make the world a happier place,” says Clark, a member of We The Kings. “This album (Somewhere, Somehow) just takes it full circle.”
