Let’s face it – Summer in Hong Kong can be a stifling mess under the scorching heat, aggravated by incessant foot traffic that’s blanketed under a wave of sweltering humidity and while spending time in the sun might make for a picture-perfect thought, we suspect it might be less of a romantic… experience IRL. Which is why we’ve put together this “summer-not-simmer” guide, featuring 5 indoor events from Business to Leisure, which might make a good respite for times when you’ve just about had it with the sun and would much rather play it cool.

3. Let’s Overnight Junk Party – 30 Jun, 1130am, Sai Kung Public Pier
So this is a little bit of a cheat considering it’s happening on a beach but here’s the catch: you get to party onboard a junk in the day and come sunset, the party moves to the beach. Yes, it’s happening all day and night with meals and free flow beer included and when the going gets tough (partying can be hard work we know), rent a tent and take a snooze.
4. Ambitious in Hong Kong – 28 Jul, 9pm, Grappa’s Cellar
Malaysia’s fastest rising stand-up comedian, Dr Jason Leong (yes he’s a real practicing Doctor & no, we’re not joking) is in town as part of his “Ambitious” Asia tour. Don’t miss this one night only special performance as this funny man revel you with witty observations and killer lines that promise to have you rolling in stitches – no pun intended we think.
5. Future City Summit 2018, 3 – 7 Aug, Hongkong | Guangzhou
