Today marks the first day of our second year in Singapore! We look back with fondness at seven junctures in our whirlwind adventure of a first year growing as a ticketing platform from the ground-up here. Read on and reminisce with us!
It’s official, Peatix launches in Singapore on 31.07.13
One year ago, a co-founder of Peatix together with four young Singaporeans launched Peatix in Singapore eager to make a contributive impact to our local events scene.
The launch party was a mosh pit of change-makers, crafters, makers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and more – all with one commonality, that in their capacity, they organise events driven by passion for many to appreciate, enjoy and participate.
The inaugurals
Our inaugural year in Singapore also saw the emergence of many experimental event concepts! Our sunny island is brimming with creativity and we’ve had the privilege to be a part of the action…
Creating a diverse, vibrant, and collaborative events community
Backstage Pass, an event where Singapore’s local community of organisers gather to be inspired and to connect. We’ve organised six sessions in a year to popular reception and resounding support from our community – check them out at #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6. Organising Backstage Pass is one way we give back and we sincerely hope that for those who’ve attended, you’ve managed to take away something valuable.
We’re not stopping at six, so keep a look out for our next one and join in the fun!
Pea-chan got acquainted with Singapore
Be it with the sights and sounds of familiar destinations, or with friendly locals at events – Pea-chan (yes we have a company mascot) loved soaking it all in. He’s even met with President Dr. Tony Tan! Well, sort of.
Calling three eclectic neighbourhoods home
First it was The Hub at Somerset, then it was Robertson Quay, and now Bugis! We thrive best off-beat.
Hitting a milestone of 200 concurrent events hosted on the Peatix ticketing platform before turning one!
Did you know there were that many events to attend in Singapore? And the number keeps growing.
Ready to take on the next year, empowering more organisers and enriching more events
In the past year, we’ve introduced tools that help to promote and sell-out events. We plan to do more, much more. Keep watch!
So with that, thank you, organisers of Singapore, for allowing us to be a part of your events and giving us a sneak peak into what it’s like to live the lives of different pockets of communities here. Three cheers to you!
