A sell-out at our inaugural community event for event organisers, Backstage Pass! It’s time for the people usually running the show to wind down and soak it up from the back seat.
With indie music playing, a delectable buffet spread, conversations abound – we really turned the corporate space by day into a vibrant buzz by night.
Spicing it up a notch, we added a “Find your Secret Partner” element. Each guest literally found their other half by match-matching their halved poker card. Great icebreaker!
Guest Speaker: Kristine Lauria of thelist.sg
Kristine Lauria, curator of the list.sg – a list of interesting and unique events happening in Singapore, was our evening’s guest speaker on the topic of “The Art and Science of the Audience”.
She recently gave birth to baby Rocco yet made the time to speak at Backstage Pass, what a superwoman!
Kristine animatedly conveyed her ideas and insights into getting an event started, growing and engaging our audience, and quips us to always show the love to our community of attendees. More on her talk in a later blog post, so keep a look out for that.
Lightning Talks
V-cube: TV and web conferencing service providers. Their live casting feature could supplement online audiences who are unable to be physically present at an event.

And that’s a wrap! Backstage Pass was definitely a fun one (as many of our guests would attest) and a great avenue for event organisers to learn from each other, exchange ideas, and potentially collaborate.
